These terms cover booking, attending and paying for training delivered by Life Start First Aid & Safety Training, and the use of this website. By booking a course you accept them on behalf of yourself and anyone you book for.
1. Bookings and confirmation
A booking is confirmed once payment is received and a confirmation email has been issued. Until then a seat is not held.
You are responsible for making sure the course you book meets the requirement set by your employer, regulator or licensing body. If you are unsure, ask us before booking.
Where you book on behalf of another person, you confirm you have their permission to share their name and contact details with us.
2. Changes, cancellations and refunds
You may move or cancel a booking free of charge more than 72 hours before the session start time.
Inside 72 hours we will transfer your seat to another scheduled date, but the fee is non-refundable.
If we cancel or reschedule a session, you may choose either a full refund or a transfer to another date at no cost.
Non-attendance without notice is treated as a late cancellation.
3. Attendance and conduct
Practical first aid training is physical. You should be able to kneel and work at floor level, or tell us in advance so we can discuss accommodations.
Instructors may ask a participant to leave where behaviour puts others at risk or prevents the session from running. No refund is due in that case.
Certification requires attending the full session and passing both the practical assessment and the knowledge check.
4. Certificates
Certificates are issued to the named participant only and may not be transferred.
Most certifications are valid for three years from the issue date unless the awarding standard states otherwise. The expiry date is shown on the certificate.
We keep a record of issued certificates so that they can be verified and reissued. Verification is available through the certificate validation page.
5. Fees and payment
Course fees are shown in Canadian dollars and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Invoiced group bookings are payable within 30 days of the invoice date unless agreed otherwise in writing.
6. Use of this website
Course content, written material, photography and branding on this site belong to Life Start or its licensors and may not be reproduced for commercial use without written permission.
We aim to keep schedules, prices and course details accurate, but they may change. The details confirmed in your booking email are the ones that apply.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Training is provided for education. Life Start is not responsible for outcomes arising from how skills are later applied in the field.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
